A. For classes and examinations that have not yet started:         

 

 

  • If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is in force during the following time periods, or
  • When an announcement is made by the Hong Kong Observatory during the following time periods that the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is likely to be issued within the next two hours, classes and examinations will be cancelled as indicated:
Time Arrangement
6:00 a.m. – 10:59 a.m. Classes/examinations that start before 1:00 p.m. will be cancelled.
11:00 a.m. – 2:59 p.m. Classes/examinations that start before 6:00 p.m. will be cancelled.
3:00 p.m. & onwards Classes/examinations that start from 3:00 p.m. onwards will be cancelled.

Apart from the above, the College may have other special arrangements, details of which will be announced through the Learner Portal when necessary.

 

B.  For classes and examinations that have already started:

* It will be at the discretion of students, particularly those living on outlying islands or in remote areas, to leave earlier.

C.  Class and Examination Resumption

  • When an announcement is made by the Hong Kong Observatory that the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above or the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is lowered during the following time periods, classes and examinations will be arranged as indicated:
Time for Lowered Warning Signal Announcement Arrangement
Before 6:00 a.m. Classes/examinations that start from 8:30 a.m. onwards will be held as scheduled
6:00 a.m. – 10:59 a.m. Classes/examinations that start from 1:00 p.m. onwards will be held as scheduled ##
11:00 a.m. – 2:59 p.m. Classes/examinations that start from 6:00 p.m. onwards will be held as scheduled
3:00 p.m. & onwards Classes/examinations on that day will be cancelled
# Classes that start before 1:00 p.m. but with the remaining lesson time (calculated from 1:00 p.m.) equal to or more than 1 hour and 30 minutes will be resumed at 1:00 p.m.  Two examples of the arrangement are listed below:

Bad Weather Arrangement

  • Classes include all the scheduled activities and consultation sessions.

 

D.   Make-up Arrangements for Cancelled Class and Examination

  • Make-up examination schedule will be announced later. Please pay attention to the College announcement on the Learner Portal in due course.
  • No make-up class will be arranged for classes cancelled due to bad weather.
