Media, Culture and Creativity

The “Media, Culture and Creativity” Major puts emphasis on the study of media, cultural and creative industries in their historical, political, economic and social context. We analyse the cultural forms created and disseminated by a wide range of media and creative industries, and the ways in which they resonate in everyday life, on the local, regional and international level. We examine the broader system of production, distribution, consumption and regulation of the main cultural and creative industries including but not limited to online and electronic media, print media and publishing, film and video, multimedia and digital entertainment, visual arts, fashion and advertising.
