Social Behaviour and Public Policy

The Major adopts an active learning approach that guides students towards a critical understanding of the cognitive and psychological process, economic and political institutions, as well as historically and case-specific factors that enter the public policy making and governance process. The curriculum combines courses in social sciences and policy analysis on both domestic and international level to develop students’ skills and knowledge in these areas. The course work provides both a solid foundation for students interested in careers in the social sciences and a strong background for a variety of professions in which knowledge about social processes and how societies work with global worldview is relevant.
