Centennial College, an independent College established by The University of Hong Kong, is a post-secondary college registered under the Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance (Cap. 320). Research Assistant (Full time / Part-time) [RF: 2016/17-PT-013-CMT]


The appointee will assist in conducting a research project about English language education. Major duties include, but not limited to, conducting classroom observation, in-depth interviews and transcription, data management and analysis, literature search, preparation for conference presentations and research articles.


Applicants should have a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in English language education, applied English linguistics or a related discipline with some knowledge of / experience in English language teaching and qualitative research.  They should be fluent English and Cantonese speakers with good writing skills in both English and Chinese.  Having good skills in Chinese input and using data analysis software (e.g.  SPSS, Nvivo) will be an advantage. Applicants should be capable of working independently and have effective communication, organizational and analytical skills.


Terms of Appointment

Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 1 year with the possibility of renewal subject to review.
