Centennial College, an independent post-secondary college registered under the Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance (Cap. 320), has been established by the University of Hong Kong to provide full-time self-financed 4-year degree programmes. The College is now inviting applications for appointment as:

Research Assistant / Student Research Assistant(s) (Part-time) [RF: 2016/17-PT-026-CMT]


The appointee(s) will assist in the research work for the research project on SME’s innovation in China. Responsibilities include conducting literature review, contacting SMEs in China to conduct interview, and other duties assigned by the principal investigator.


For candidates applying for Student Research Assistant, one should obtain Level 2 or above in five subjects (including English and Chinese Languages) in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination or Grade E or above in five subjects (including English and Chinese Languages) in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent, and candidates should be studying towards a bachelor degree or a master degree. Candidates applying for Research Assistant should have a bachelor’s or a master degree in related discipline with experience in conducting research. Candidates should be familiar with social science research methods, possess high proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), be able to work actively and independently, and have a strong sense of responsibility.


Terms of Appointment

The appointment will normally last for about 2 months initially and is subject to renewal with mutual agreement. Salary will be paid on hourly basis.
