On 12 May 2008, the Wenchuan Earthquake struck Sichuan province in China. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Wenchuan Earthquake, a service learning team comprises our staff and students visits the earthquake-affected regions from 12 to 16 March 2018.
The team paid visit to a primary and a secondary school where they talked to the school pupils, played games and taught English through popular nursery rhymes, short stories and cooperative classroom games. They had also visited families of selected primary school pupils and prepared lunch for the hosts.
The new experiences and knowledge that students gained would last for lifetime with profound effect on how to expect the unexpected uncertainties with marriages of good coping mechanisms.
