15-16 March 2016
A two-day leadership training camp, supported by School of Management, was organised at HKFYG Jockey Club Sai Kung Outdoor Training Center for students taking the course Leadership Theories & Practice. Students formed teams to participate in a number of challenging activities, such as city hunt, climbing-the-high-wall and trebuchet-making, and to experience being out of their comfort zones to strive for a higher target. These hands-on experiences solidified their understanding of good leadership while at the same time allowed them to realise the important role of effective followers. Each student was required to prepare a reflective essay after the training camp to consolidate their learning and develop a personal action plan for future leadership development.
